I’m coming home everyone. Tomorrow at 4am I leave Taichung to go to the airport to go home. FINALLY HOME FREEEE!!! I got almost everything I wanted. (minus YaYa’s grosgrain ribbon, a t-shirt that says Taiwan, and all the comic books that I can buy.. but I did buy Zettai Kareshi just so Mimi could read it… Mimi…)

Anyway, I got 2 more of Takeshi’s movies, Lavender and Downtown Torpedoes (wooo Jordan AND Takeshi!!). I really want to get Chungking Express… but I have one problem: I CAN’T FIND IT!… Someone… find it… for me… I want it for my birthday… THAT EVERYONE MISSED ON MAY 21ST.

Well… I’ll be rolling around in my goodies from Taiwan soon… so you should all come and see all the crap I managed to drag home… WAR HAR HAR HAR HAR HAR HAR…

Aw Shitter…

Location | Taichung

Aww shitter. I just wrote this long ass entry and then I accidentally turned off the computer in Chinese… wtf does that mean? I have no idea.

Anyway, these are my wonderful glamour shots. Click on “Glamour Shots” and “Glamour Shots 2.”

Tomorrow is my last day in Taiwan. Let me do the sentimental thing I wrote before…

I’ll never forget the shopping, the mass transportion, the food, and the people. I’ll be trying to forget the weather, the mutated gigantic creatures, and the smell of pee and sweat. I’ll never forget my classmates, the places, and the hilarious moments. I’ll be trying to forget sleeping in fear, hard mattresses, and the stupid mountain that I lived on.

Overall, it’s been a fun fun fun experience. This journal is almost coming to an end. I’m going to go try to finish packing. I have to give up 3 pairs of shoes because my suitcases are full. *cry*

Still in Taipei

Standard

Location | Taipei

I’m still here, but tomorrow is my last day. Today I went to Hsimen with Sami, Steve, and her cousin. I’ve spent so much money… -_-;;;;;;; I got another Takeshi poster and also a Takeshi sticker… Then I went up to Danshui with Steve and I got gifts for my friends. Stevie and I had some mussels and vegetables. Total cost: less than $10 american. Oh yeah, at Hsimen we also got sticker pictures… but the big problem was… the machine was in Japanese so we had NO IDEA what was going on… the poor pictures…

Anyway, I can’t believe I’m leaving tomorrow. I’m really sad. I really love Taipei now… but I must… go… oh the sadness… At least in November I’ll probably see Sami, Timmy, George and Stevie… aww the Californians.

Lusi’s House

Standard

Location | Taipei

So this has been a great past 2 days. On Friday we had Lusi’s “official” birthday party. We first went to dinner in the Dunhua S. Road and Renai Rd. circle and it was pretty good I guess. Everyone except Tim was there, but we had Stevie to replace him :D. Anyway, afterwards we went to Luxy to do some partying.

At Luxy we had a table and so we chilled until the dance floor started to fill up. Then tons of dancing… for everyone else, LOTS of drinking. Our tab at the end of the night was approx NT$9,700 (or US$300) They’re insane! Lusi had like 5 shots of Jack Daniels, 3 glasses of wine and then 1 shot of tequila. Needless to say, she passed out within the first 2 hours. She spent those few hours of being passed out on Chris’s lap… and Chris totally took care of her. I of course, was the only sober person in the whole place… dude why would I spent so much money drinking, getting sick, and not feeling well? I just ended up dancing and just having a blast with everyone. 😀

We left Luxy around 3 or 3:30 and I took Lusi home (she had thrown up everything anyway). Overall, it was a fun night and I’d gladly hang out with all my classmates again. Too bad… clubbing is just WAAAAAYYY too expensive. Gotta play it cool on Ladie’s Night (Wed here… wtf, who wants to party on wed, make it a fri or sat!!!)

Well, I’m staying at Lusi’s house for the time being — until Tues. Then I’m going home to Taichung until I leave on Sat. I hope that my suitcases will fit everything I bought. Crap I bought A TON of stuff.

Coming To An End Soon…

Standard

Location | Taipei

My stay here at the International House is coming to an end. The only thing is, I’m not too happy about going back to Taichung (SCARY HUGE SPIDERS). I’m moving to Danshuei for Thursday night and then staying at Lusi’s for Friday night. Then Saturday I’ll probably head back to Taipei.

Anyway, here’s a sample of the Chinese I can now type on my computer:
我現在可以寫中文字, 但是寫的很慢.

Ok, soon I will compile a list of all the things I bought. Today I went to Hsimen again, but this time I got the Gackt Crescent CD, 3 movies (2 of them with Takeshi and Young and Dangerous 4) and I also got the Takeshi poster, a Beckham poster, and a L’Arc~en~Ciel poster.

My huge compiled list will probably come quite soon, but right now I have to focus on finishing packing. My cousin is coming to get my stuff soon. Anyway, I’ve been focusing on finishing my shopping. I still have to get “souvenir” type items. Plus I have to go back to Danshui to buy some “gifts” for the girls. After that, I’m DONE. FINISHED. Oh yeah, I can’t wait to get my glamour shots.

This Week

Standard

Location | Taipei

This week has caused me to sweat from places I didn’t know existed. Even my hair was damp… therefore it’s been 2 showers a day all this week. As for updates, I’ve been on a rampage buying Takeshi Kaneshiro items. If anyone knows of poster shops in the area (minus Hsimen) let me know. I love Takeshi!

Now I can type in phonetic Chinese on my computer, but I’m waiting for a Windows XP disk so I can update and type in hanyu pinyin. I definately prefer hanyu pinyin to the phonetic bopomofo, because I already know the locations of romanized characters on the keyboard over memorizing the bopomofo keyboard.

On Monday I went to shop for electronics with Lusi and my cousin and on Tuesday I went to Nova, then again to shop for electronics, but it was close dand we ended up at some porn place because as a class we couldn’t even collectively read the sign outside the electronics place telling us that the place was just closed for the day. Anyway, the porn place was… interesting. Did you know you have you blur out pubic hair in Japanese porn?

On Wednesday we had a test, but Sami, Sami’s cousin, Tim, Tim’s friend Fang, Lusi, Dave, and me all went to Hsimen to do some shopping. We didn’t get much done… and yesterday I went to Lusi’s house after class and then to Page One and Eslite. At the bookstores I got the Marie Claire with Takeshi and the Men’s Uno with Takeshi. So nice! I’m so happy to have his pictures!!

Well that’s about it for the update. I think this weekend is a beach weekend and also site seeing.

Gigantic Spiders!

Standard

Location | Taichung
I’ve never been so scared in my life. It was like Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter come true. GIANT SPIDERS!  Seriously… I was getting my laundry from the 4th floor laundry room and I see this thing move out of the corner of my eye… and then it stops… but then I freeze and take a “closer” look… HOLY SHIT ITS A HUMONGOUS SPIDER. I run out screaming my head off and getting the attention of my grandmother, aunt, uncle, and cousins. OMG… It was like 6 inches all the way across!? I think it’s the second largest breed of spiders in the world… but WTF!? WHY IN MY 4TH FLOOR LAUNDRY ROOM!? Now I have to walk around with bug spray… I’M SO SCARED.

Anyway… I can’t wait to come home now.

Takeshi Kaneshiro

Standard

Location | Taipei

I’m in love with this actor named, Takeshi Kaneshiro, he is sooo adorable! I can’t believe he’s fluent in so many different languages. Anyway, I saw House of Flying Daggers in it, and he played Jin, the County Police Chief. Omg… after seeing that movie, I’m a total fan of his! Now I must go watch his dramas and other movies! YAAAAYY!! Ok, well I have class soon, so I have to go prepare.

The Weekend.

Standard

Location | Taipei

I have a new roommate. Her name is Yuriko and she’s from Japan. She’s very nice! She speaks only a little bit of English, but that is ok. She gave me a notebook from Japan! I feel so honored! Hahaha… I’m a dork.

Anyway this past weekend I went to Taichung again, but this time I got glamour shots done. I’m supposed to get it by August 7th. I really can’t wait. Also, we’re planning a trip to Hong Kong now. I’m super excited. Sami, George, Lusi, Peter, Peter’s gf Brandy and I are all planning on going. Tim and Steve aren’t going no matter how much I attempt to convince them. *sighhhh*

Today I went to Taipei 101 with Tim, Steve, and Sami. Sami left before we had dinner and so I had dinner with Steve and Tim. Okeeee… must go study for a test. Hopefully I’ll be in Hong Kong sooon!!!
